Peterborough Railway Station is the city’s main rail gateway, placing visitors within walking distance of the centre while providing connections towards London, the North, the Midlands, East Anglia and destinations across Britain.

Standing on the East Coast Main Line, Peterborough is an important interchange for journeys crossing the country. Direct and connecting trains make the station useful for day trips, longer stays and onward journeys throughout the region.

The station is approximately a ten-minute walk from central Peterborough. From here, visitors can continue towards Peterborough Cathedral, the historic streets of the Old Town Quarter and many of the city’s shops, restaurants and cultural attractions.

Train times, stopping patterns and fares vary, so passengers should use the official journey planner before travelling. Allow additional time when making a connection or whenever local access arrangements around the station have changed.
