Born Andrew Ivan Bell in Peterborough in 1964, Andy Bell rose to international fame as the lead singer of synth-pop duo Erasure.

Erasure

Erasure was formed with keyboardist Vince Clarke in 1985. With Bell’s soaring vocals and charismatic stage presence, the duo became one of the defining acts of the late 1980s and 1990s.
