A bold addition to Broadway's night-time landscape, Velvet Panache combines two floors, contrasting club rooms, modern production and an unusually wide-ranging music programme inside one ambitious Peterborough venue.

Velvet Panache has brought fresh energy to a revitalised space at 42 Broadway. Large enough to stage busy club nights and live performances, but flexible enough to give different scenes room to breathe, it represents a confident new chapter for Peterborough's late-night entertainment.

The venue does not tie itself to a single musical formula. Its programme can move from house, garage, R&B, hip hop and Afro-influenced sounds to reggae, soul, funk and dancehall, before switching direction for rock, indie, emo, metal, ska or Northern Soul. That breadth gives local promoters and audiences far more scope than a conventional one-format nightclub.

Two rooms across two floors allow different nights to create their own atmosphere and scale. The venue's modern technical setup includes a powerful Void sound system, DJ facilities, LED screens and extensive club lighting, giving both DJs and live performers a production platform capable of making a real impact.

Just as importantly, Velvet Panache has set out to support local talent and shared experiences rather than operating solely as a late-night dancefloor.
