Laser Quest Peterborough

For 25 years, Peterborough families have been disappearing into the darkness at 23 Brook Street to chase flashing targets around a sci-fi maze. Refreshed as Laser Quest Peterborough, the city-centre favourite now adds VR, a 5D cinema and arcade entertainment.

Laser tag is simple to understand and almost impossible to play quietly. Collect your illuminated body pack and laser, listen to the mission briefing and enter an arena filled with catwalks, tight turns, swirling fog, music and coloured lights. Tag an opponent to win points; get tagged yourself and watch that advantage disappear.

Up to 24 players can take part in a 20-minute session, including the briefing. Games can be played individually or in teams, with final scores revealing who really kept their nerve. Public sessions may combine several groups, while selected party and private-hire packages offer exclusive use of the arena.

The name above the door may be new, but this is not an entertainment venue invented from scratch. Brook Street was previously home to Laserforce, where generations of local children held birthday parties and returned years later with their own families. Laser Quest represents a new chapter for one of Peterborough’s most established activity venues.

It is also more than laser tag. A four-seat VR ride combines virtual reality with motion, audio and wind, while the compact 5D cinema adds moving seats and effects including water, smoke and air. Alongside the amusement arcade, that makes it easy to build a longer visit or add another activity to a game.
