Cathedral Sunwatch
February 14 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

In parallel with the Helios exhibit, come see the Sun live, up close and personal with the use of a state of the art, especially designed for the purpose telescope that reveals active prominences, flares and Sunspots as they happen (subject to weather and cloud cover).
You will see the Sun as it is from minute to minute on a screen, no need to struggle looking though the telescope.
A rare chance to see our own star (the Sun) in its full glory.
Followed or preceded by an engaging and fun talk on our Earths parent star, how it came to be, how it is now and its ultimate destiny by expert astronomer Dean Watson (Astronomy tutor at Peterborough City College).
