Big Jurassic Fish Hunt

Dive beneath the Jurassic Seas
Peterborough Museum & Art Gallery invites children and families to become palaeontologists for the day during the Big Jurassic Fish Hunt.
Discover the secrets of the Leedsichthys, the largest fish ever to swim the Earth’s seas, stretching up to an impressive 16 metres long! Fossilised in thousands of fragments, this underwater giant is waiting for little explorers to help piece together its story. Hands-on experiments, fossil handling, and interactive activities bring the prehistoric ocean back to life!
See the real fossilised bones of this giant fish, found right here in the Peterborough area, and get up close to a truly local prehistoric discovery. Little ones can enjoy a fun storytelling session of Issy and the Leedsichthys, and all children can have a go on the bouncy castle for even more family fun!
